Details
maxill masks are made from specially selected fiberglass free materials including a soft non-irritating lining, fluid repelling layer and an encapsulated nosepiece that avoids the reflection of strong light during surgery and provides an excellent custom fit. Available with an anti-fog visor for optimum protection against fluids and splashes.
Health care providers require a mask that is not only comfortable, but they need to be confident in the effectiveness of the mask’s protection. As you shop and compare maxill Medical/Dental masks to other masks on the market, keep in mind these key features that are important to the user:
- BFE (Bacterial Filtration Efficiency) measures the percent efficiency at which the face mask filters bacteria passing through the mask.
- PFE (Particulate Filtration Efficiency) measures the percent efficiency at which the face mask filters particulate matter passing through the mask.
- Delta P (∆P) (Breathability) is the pressure drop across a face mask, expressed in mm water/cm². The higher the Delta P, the more difficult the mask is to breathe through.
- Fluid Resistance is defined as the ability of a face mask’s construction material to minimize fluids from traveling through the material and potentially coming into contact with the user of the face mask. Fluid resistance helps reduce potential exposure to blood and body fluids caused from splashes, spray or spatter.
