All disinfectants inactivate or destroy microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses or fungi using one or multiple modes of antimicrobial action. What differs from product-to-product is largely the method by which this microbial destruction occurs. If a disinfectant contains only one active ingredient that works by only one method of destruction, it may not be as effective on multiple common microorganisms as a product containing multiple active ingredients. mycolio DISINFECTANT has four active ingredients combined in a balanced concentration to exert optimal antimicrobial activity. This testing gives mycolio DISINFECTANT its mycobactericidal (or tuberculocidal) claim. A mycobactericidal claim is very important to look for when choosing a broad spectrum disinfectant. Due to their unique cellular structure, Mycobacteria are very resilient. They are among the most difficult types of microorganisms to kill and thus are the benchmark test organisms used by the CDC to meet and exceed the requirements of an intermediate level disinfectant.

For unopened containers, product quality characteristics remain within the specifications for this product 36 months from the date of manufacture.
These mycolio Disinfectant Wipes were produced before this update and have an expiration date of either '12/22' or '01/23' printed on the containers. The effective expiry dates are now '12/23' and '01/24'. This new updated expiry date WILL NOT be printed on the containers. Documentation can be provided upon request.
