Manufacturers Disinfection Recommendations:

  • 1. Use ph-neutral detergents and disinfectants. This will support a longer life of the products.
  • a. Alkaline detergents are NOT recommended.
  • 2. Read chemical labels. Ensure the compatibility of the chemical with plastic or polycarbonate products.
  • 3. Surface disinfectants with a ph <8 are recommended to help prevent cracking and degradation to the cover. However, some ph neutral disinfectants may still react with polycarbonate materials depending upon chemical make-up.
  • 4. Rinse after disinfecting product to help minimize these effects.
