During 2020 and 2021 select governments required manufacturers to include an expiry date on their PPE packaging as well as manufacturing certificates in every carton. This was part of their COVID initiative to prevent fraudulent and unqualified product from being exported. Gowns, masks, bouffant caps, and shoe covers were affected. These products do not actually expire but cartons may include an expiry date, or certificate. These government regulations have since been revoked and are no longer in effect.
