maxill u·test BI·100 biological indicators are single-use Self-Contained Biological Indicators (SCBIs) that consist of a polypropylene tube, a spore carrier inoculated with a minimum of 106 viable Geobacillus stearothermophilus ATCC® 7953 bacterial spores and a glass ampoule containing culture medium, enclosed with a coloured plastic cap and a barrier permeable to steam. Each u·test BI-100 has a process indicator on its label that changes from pink to brown when exposed to steam.
