maxill has once again raised the bar in infection control. Our new BI PlusTM offers another industry first, a Self Contained Biological Indicator (SCBI) with a Type 5 Chemical Indicator built right in. This unique combination provides greater sterilization assurance than any other BI on the market. The integrated Type 5 Indicator has easy to interpret results; once the yellow squares turn black sterilization parameters are confirmed based on sterilization standards ISO 11140-1. If the yellow squares do not fully change to black the conditions for sterilization were not met.

Instant Type 5 results, paired with a self contained biological indicator means monitoring has never been easier or more accurate, all from the convenience of your office.

For verification, a failed sterilization process is indicated by a colour change in the growth media from purple to yellow.
